Invitation to open dialogue, structural development and networking

The European Digital UniverCity (EDUC) alliance was founded in 2019. Today, it brings together 207,500 students, 17,500 teachers and 14,500 staff at eight universities in seven countries. The University of Potsdam is the coordinating university for EDUC.

On 9 December 2025 at 1 p.m., the EDUC team at the University of Potsdam, together with the university management, invites you to the EDUC Town Hall. Together with you, the staff, lecturers, researchers and students from Potsdam, we would like to look back on the past six years of EDUC. We would also like to give you current insights into our work and priorities and discuss the future. We welcome all your experiences, perspectives and questions for an interactive exchange and the further development and strengthening of the EDUC community at our university. Network with your colleagues and fellow students and help us to further develop EDUC.

The EDUC Town Hall will take place on 9 December from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
The venues are the foyer and seminar rooms in Building 8 on the Neues Palais campus.

Please register by 30 November 2025: Registration

Breakout Sessions

1. EDUC in 2035: Wishes, Visions and Ideas for the Future
In this session, we will discuss EDUC's long-term vision with a view to the year 2035. What developments would we like to see, and how can EDUC contribute to the future of our university in the long term?

2. EDUC Reflections 2019 - 2025
Looking back to move forward: we share experiences, successes and challenges from six years of EDUC – and discuss what we want to take with us into the next phase.

3. EDUC and its offer for students
What does EDUC offer students – and how can the programme be expanded further? This session invites students with and without EDUC experience to exchange ideas and help shape the programme.

4. Get to know EDUC better and engage in individual discussions in the foyer
Meet, network, engage in conversation: in the foyer, you will have the opportunity to learn about EDUC activities and stakeholders and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.
