Constituencies
The election regulations of the University of Potsdam (WahlO) provide for different, fixed constituencies for the office and body elections. Within a constituency, eligible voters elect the body members of their status group. For some elections, e.g. those of the Senate, several constituencies form joint constituencies.
Constituencies of the Faculties
Each faculty forms a constituency of its own. The faculty constituencies are therefore:
- Digital Engineering Faculty
- Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences
- Faculty of Human Sciences
- Faculty of Philosophy
- Faculty of Science
- Law Faculty
- Faculty of Health Sciences
Constituencies of the Central Level
Members of the university who do not belong to a faculty belong to one of three central level constituencies depending on their department:
- Constituency Central Administration
- University Management
- President's Office, incl. Press and Public Relations Department
- Central Administration (Chancellor's Office, Departments 1-5, Central Department, Security)
- Work area of the Chief Information Officer (CIO)
- Coordination Office for Equal Opportunities (KfC)
- Staff Council

Joint Constituencies
Senate
- The Faculty of Digital Engineering and the Faculty of Science form a joint constituency for a member from the group of Lecturers
- All faculties shall form a joint constituency for one further member from the group of Lecturers
- All faculties form a joint constituency for two members from the group of students
- All faculties and the central level (central university administration, central academic facilities, university library) form a joint constituency for two members from the group of academic staff members
- All faculties and the central level (central university administration, central academic facilities, university library) form a joint constituency for one member from the group of employees in technology and administration
Assembly of the Center for Teacher Training and Education Research (ZeLB)
- The Faculty of Human Sciences, the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences and the central level (central university administration, central academic facilities, university library) shall form a joint constituency
- for one member from the group of academic staff, and
- for one member from the group of technical and administrative staff
Central Gender Equality Officer
- All faculties and the central level (central university administration, central academic facilities, university library) form a joint constituency for the Central Gender Equality Officer (GBA) and her deputies
