Encouraging bright minds

The Germany Scholarship, initiated by the federal government, centers around the idea of nurturing young, talented individuals, enabling them to focus fully on their studies. Its purpose is to encourage young people, regardless of their background, to pursue and successfully complete their education. This initiative not only supports gifted students but also showcases them as potential experts and leaders for businesses, foundations, or other organizations. A scholarship costs 1,800 euros for one year, a sum that the federal government matches by additional 1,800 euros.

• As a supporter, you are demonstrating responsibility by enabling the development of young talented students.
• You can present yourself or your company to young experts and invite them to your premises.
• We are inviting you to events on campus so that you can meet the students you are supporting in person.
• We mention your name in publications by the University of Potsdam.
• Every donation is tax-deductible. For amounts up to € 200, the Tax Office only requires the submission of your bank records. For amounts over € 200, we will send you a donation receipt.

SCHOLARSHIP FUND - Every Contribution Counts and is Valued

You make a one-time donation of at least 150 euros to our scholarship fund. As soon as 1,800 euros are reached, this fund will be used to award a scholarship at the University of Potsdam.

ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP - 1,800 euros

Starting at 1,800 euros, you can take over an annual scholarship for one student. The Federal Ministry doubles the amount of your donation. You can decide which faculty the funded students come from or you can award a scholarship that is not tied to a specific subject.

PERFECT MATCH - 9,000 euros

By supporting at least five students, the University of Potsdam offers you the "Perfect Match." A special selection process ensures a precise match between the donor and the scholarship recipients. If you wish, you can name the scholarship.

SMART ROOM - 21,000 euros

With the "Smart Room", you support ten students from the same field or a thematic area of your choosing. In close coordination with you, the University of Potsdam organizes three to four training formats for the scholarship recipients each year.

THINK TANK - 35,000 euros

With the Potsdam University Scholarship Think Tank, you support 15 students in a unique format. The best students collaborate with renowned scientists in interdisciplinary teams on complex contemporary issues. You can choose the name, theme, and disciplines of the scholarship recipients for your Think Tank.
