May 2025: New interdisciplinary Factsheets are out

In May 2025, three new NamTip factsheets were released, each addressing a key aspect of rangeland degradation and management in Namibia:

• Factsheet #6 explores how perennial grasses can be used to assess rangeland degradation through a three-phase model of grass population decline.
• Factsheet #7 investigates how livestock farmers in Namibia’s communal areas perceive and respond to desertification tipping points.
• Factsheet #8 presents a practical strategy for improving rangeland management in the same communal areas through a split grazing system.

These latest additions complement the five factsheets published earlier in February and March 2025, which are available here.
