September 2025: NamTip Workshop at Tropentag 2025

The NamTip project is organizing a workshop titled “Tipping points in social-ecological systems: Challenges and insights across diverse contexts of land management” as part of the conference Tropentag 2025 in Bonn (09-12.09.2025). The workshop will take place on 9 September, 14:00–17:00 (University of Bonn, Room 3055). This session will bring together researchers from various disciplines and land-use systems to explore tipping points in social-ecological systems and across diverse landscapes—rangelands, forests, agricultural systems, and more. The workshop features expert presentations and moderated discussions on the drivers, early-warning signals, and impacts of tipping points, with a focus on methodological challenges such as data gaps and uncertainty. By fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, the workshop aims to deepen understanding of tipping dynamics and advance research on resilience and sustainable land management under changing environmental conditions.
