Ecological Fieldwork in the NamTip Project

In this video, we introduce two core components of NamTip's ecological fieldwork, aiming at better understanding tipping point dynamics in Namibia's rangelands. The "TipEx" experimental platform simulates the combined stresses of drought and heavy grazing, while a debushing study monitors how rangelands recover following the removal of encroaching woody plants. Together, these approaches provide valuable insights for managing and restoring these fragile ecosystems before they cross critical thresholds and degradation becomes nearly irreversible.
