Networks and Partners
Using Networks and Partnerships
Integrating the University of Potsdam into various international networks, university and faculty partnerships offers expanded access to potential cooperation partners and represents an important element in the internationalization of teaching and studies. As a COIL.UP department, we cooperate with networks such as EDUC or the Global Network of COIL SUNY as well as with other important actors at our university in the fields of internationalization, educational technology and administration.
NETWORKS
SUNY COIL Global Network
The COIL network grew out of the association of state universities in New York State (SUNY). The network's foundation was laid back in 2004 with the goal of increasing the inventory of international online courses offered by SUNY campuses and expanding the network with partner universities outside the United States. In 2006, the expansion of the project allowed the COIL network to be established. The University of Potsdam is a member of the SUNY COIL Global Network, which now numbers over 100 universities and colleges.

EDUC - European Digital UniverCity
Under the leadership of the University of Potsdam, eight universities from seven European countries have joined forces to form a tranformative alliance. They pursue the goal of "creating a European higher education space in which students, staff, teachers and researchers from the eight partner universities can learn, teach and work together." They pay particular attention to digital infrastructures and the networking of actors in the field of teaching and learning. Innovative mobility and exchange formats, such as joint digital teaching offers, are an important component. COIL.UP makes its contribution within the framework of the EDUC Academy for teachers and by advising projects. Detailed information can be found here:
