Germany's Role in Outer Space - A Visit from the Foreign Office

On March 26, a group of young diplomats from all over the world visited the University of Potsdam to attend a lecture of Professor Dr. Marcus Schladebach, LL.M. concerning "Germany's Role in Outer Space".

After introductory words from the Dean of the Law Faculty, Professor Dr. Andreas Zimmermann, LL.M. (Harvard), and a short presentation of the Potsdam Human Rights Center by Professor Dr. Norman Weiß, Professor Schladebach explained which interests Germany pursues in Outer Space. In doing so, he addressed the historic, legal, economic, international, european, and personell relevance of German space travel. A question-and-answer session and a tour through the historic building of the Griebnitzsee campus concluded the successful event, organized in cooperation with the Foreign Office.
