The Welcome Center Potsdam offers initial consultations and the following services:

  • Information on research and funding opportunities
  • Identification of potential hosts for making contacts
  • Becoming part of the UP community means that you have access to all of the services provided by the Welcome Center
  • Mediation of additional help and support, inside and outside of the UP

Philipp Schwartz-Initiative

With the Philipp Schwartz-Initiative, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables the accommodation of endangered researchers at universities and research institutions by providing two-year scholarships, as well as a lump sum to the institution hosting in the scholar.

The first calls for proposals resulted in funding for more than 160 scholars. The University of Potsdam has already participated successfully in the program several times.

The university-internal application deadline for the new call is 20 August 2019.
