Teaching

The Chair offers a range of courses for students working toward the Universität Potsdam’s BSc in Economics, MSc in Economics, and MSc in Economic Policy and Quantitative Methods.

Our courses aim to provide students with a thorough understanding of econometric methods and contexts, and enable them to apply these methods.

Degree theses

Requirements

If you would like to complete your degree theses under the supervision of the Chair of Economics, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • For Bachelor’s theses: completion of at least one of the courses conducted by the Chair, with a final grade of at least 2.3.
  • For Master’s theses: no restrictions

Letters of recommendation

Requirements

Letters of recommendation will only be written for a specific addressee. The following requirements also apply:

  • For BSc students: completion of at least two of the courses offered by the Chair, with a final result of “very good” or “good” (minimum grade: 2.0)
  • For MSc students: completion of the course "Education, Labor, and Health Economics" with a final result of “very good” or “good” (minimum grade: 2.0)

When submitting a request for a letter of recommendation, please also include your most recent Transcript of Records and a current CV.
