Alumni

Anna Zehle (2021-2023)
Anna did her master thesis in the field of 2D-IR spectroscopy focusing on photoacids and including pH-dependend experiments. After completing her master´s degree, she decided to go straight into the working life.

Paul Suppan (2021)
Paul did his bachelor thesis in the field of chemistry education by working on strategies to purify microplastics from environmental samples and how to turn this into hands-on experiments for schools. He is now continuing his studies in Potsdam.

Selflando Shehaj (2020-2021)
Selflando started as visiting researcher to learn advanced experimental techniques and obtained a DAAD fellowship for pursuing his PhD in a project in collaboration with Prof. Andreas Taubert (Supramolecular Chemistry, Potsdam). During the course of his work he decided to switch from the laser lab to synthesis and is now continuing his project with a stronger focus on the materials in the Taubert lab.

Sonja Kirchner (2020-2021)
Sonja was a RA in the group and did her bachelor thesis on FTIR Spectroscopy of peptide-based hydrogels. She is currently finishing her Master's degree in Potsdam.

Dr. Patrycja Kielb (2020-2021)
Patrycja joined the group in January 2020 as Postdoc with a bridge fellowship by the University of Potsdam and then worked on projects related to UniSysCat and the CMWS. She has started her independent career as Tenure-Track Professor at University of Bonn in fall 2021. You can find out more about Patrycja's exciting work here.

Philipp Börstler (2019-2020)
Philipp worked as RA/student intern in our group and supported two projects with great work at the FTIR spectrometer and in sample preparation. He is finishing his Master of Education in Chemistry and pursues research in the Banerji Lab at UP.

Max Lehmann (2018-2019)
Max was the first RA/student intern in our group and helped the lab getting started! He is now a PhD student in Organic Chemistry/Pablo Wessig's group at UP.
