Workshop on Tolerant Energy-and Opto-Electronic Materials for Space and Earth

Dr. Felix Lang and his ROSI - Freigeist Juniorgroup invite to our 1st. Workshop on Tolerant Energy- & Opto-Electronic Materials for Space, Earth and Medicine

Place:  University of Potsdam, Neues Palais

Date:   (8)/9/10.10.2025

Topics: Halide Perovskite Semiconductors have emerged as promising semiconductors for Energy and Opto-Electronic Applications. A key difference to conventional semiconductors such as Si or III-V are their defect tolerance, their high ionic mobilities, their soft- and flexible lattice, both allowing self-healing and dynamic degradation/recovery processes. This workshop focuses on understanding these dynamic phenomena, is interested at the limits and applications of self-healing/repair and novel materials beyond halide perovskites. Bridging fundamental understanding with applications, highly efficient single and multi-junction solar cells for space and earth, as well as optoelectronic sensors and radiation detectors will be discussed and explored alongside.
