From Prompt to Hire: Using AI for Job Applications
June 2nd, 2-5 pm, online
Mastering the correct and effective use of AI tools is becoming increasingly important in the application process. This workshop is designed to equip international students with the skills to leverage AI technologies, such as ChatGPT and DeepL, to create high-quality CVs and cover letters for the German job market. Participants will gain an understanding of the key requirements for job applications in Germany, followed by learning how to use AI to draft, refine, and optimize their documents in accordance with these standards, focusing on best practices for AI-assisted writing and effective prompt strategies.
The session will also provide guidance on tailoring AI-generated content to meet employer expectations, including formatting for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and show participants how to combine their personal strengths with AI tools to create a standout professional profile.

‘What actually happens after graduation? What prospects and opportunities do I have? How can I gain practical experience during my studies? How can I assert myself on the labour market?’
These questions are of particular concern to students of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities who are not studying to become teachers. The possibilities are varied and the occupational fields are often unspecific. This is precisely where the project ‘Career Orientation for Students of the Humanities’ aims to pick up on, sensitise people to the topic, show perspectives and create opportunities for practical insights.
