Thursday, 19 February | 10am-12.30pm | tbc| Workshop: The job interview
The invitation to a job interview lands in your inbox – or you are asked to introduce yourself in a short Zoom call?
Often, the initial excitement of making it to the next round is quickly followed by a flood of questions: How can I best prepare for such interviews and calls? How can I come across as confident and convincing without pretending to be someone I’m not? What dos really matter?
In this workshop, we will discuss the essentials of job and internship interviews. After a few inputs on structure, purpose, and goals, we will explore and practice techniques and methods that help you prepare effectively. We will also look at how you can stay authentic and meet your interviewer on equal footing – while at the same time finding out whether the job or internship is truly the right fit for you.

Wednesday, 25 February | 2-4pm | online | Networking without Nepo Baby privileges
When you think of networking, do you think of fraternities and old boys' country clubs?
While social background and socio-economic advantages undoubtedly play a role in shaping professional biographies, we would like to offer you a different approach to networking. Used strategically and with an awareness of your own aspirations and goals, a well-maintained network can help you realise your career aspirations, boost your self-confidence and constantly reposition yourself on the job market.
But how do you build such a network without the appropriate relationships in your family environment?
In this workshop we would like to show you how to make networking opportunities visible and how to use the resources available to you. In addition, we would like to support you in formulating goals and career aspirations and communicating them to others.
Please note: If you are enrolled at one of the other universities in Berlin and Brandenburg participating in the Career Week, please still select "University of Potsdam student" and provide your regular matriculation number when registering. The registration process for the Career Week events has been extended. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
