Recognition of benefits

Who is responsible for recognising credits?

If you are studying abroad, the examination officer or the Chair of the Examination Board for Economics will take care of the recognition issues.

What credits can I have recognised for work completed outside Europe?

Ideally, you should talk to the chair before your studies abroad about the possibility of having the credits recognised at a later date. Subsequent equivalence examinations take place on the basis of the course descriptions and the academic transcript you provide. The examination usually takes a few days. In addition to the academic transcript, please also submit the relevant module descriptions and the recognition form. The module descriptions must be translated from the respective national language into either German or English. The course content, workload and competences taught must be clearly stated.
