Module description
Terms:
 Fundamentals of organisational theory and strategy; fundamentals of evaluating corporate success; fundamentals of leadership in organisations; findings from evidence-based leadership research; fundamentals of personnel management - including personnel marketing, personnel selection, personnel development, personnel appraisal and personnel remuneration.
  
 The students
 - understand the basic options for action in the area of strategy and organisational design.
 - know the most important management theories, their respective strengths and weaknesses as well as their concrete application possibilities.
 - know the central fields of action of personnel management and are able to view the sub-functions of personnel management in a holistic context.
 - know the relevant technical terms and the historical development of management research.
 - are able to describe and analyse organisational phenomena with reference to leadership theories and propose and justify sensible interventions.
 - are able to apply knowledge in the field of personnel management to specific practical situations.
 - are able to work on specific problems individually and in teams, develop solutions independently and present the results in plenary sessions
