Winter term 2017/18:

Physical processes in Astrophysics:

* Master of Astrophysics module PHY-735 *                                                                                               * Master of Physics modules 731, 732 *

This course is designed to introduce the physical processes in Astrophysics, particularly basic MHD and plasma processes in astrophysical environments. This area has been among the most rapidly developed ones in astrophysics. It has been recognised as one of the fundamental blocks of the knowledge that is necessary for the understandings of various astrophysics phenomena. Topics range from charged particles, high-energy cosmic rays, gas dynamics, interstellar and intergalactic medium magnetohydrodynamic processes, etc. Course learning includes classroom-based lecturing.

  • Monday 10:15 - 11:45 / Golm, building 28, room
  • Friday 14:15 - 15:45 / Golm, building 28, room => exercises 14 daily on odd CW
