EXIST Transfer of Research
As the official startup network of the University of Potsdam, we are here to support you in applying for and implementing the EXIST research transfer:
Submission by 31.03., 31.08. and 30.11. of each calendar year. Project start 5-6 months after submission of application. Project outlines and applications are submitted via Potsdam Transfer. Please note the submission deadline for the 1st draft proposal: January 15, June 15 or September 15.
The most important prerequisites for EXIST research transfer in funding phase I are:
- What is funded?
Highly innovative, research-based and sustainable startup projects that involve technically complex and high-risk development work.
- Who will be funded?
✓ 3 full-time positions for research assistants and 1 full-time position for a business administration assistant
✓ the team members must have at least a Master's or diploma degree
✓ Instead of a scientific person, a technician can also participate (person with completed vocational training, Bachelor's graduate)
- How is funding provided?
✓ Duration: 18 months, in well-founded cases and within reasonable limits up to 36 months
✓ Funds: up to 250,000 euros
The most important prerequisites for EXIST research transfer in funding phase II are:
✓ Grant: up to 180,000 euros (max. 75% of the project-specific costs) for companies founded during or as a result of funding phase I
