Gergö completed his teacher training at the University of Potsdam in the subjects of history and business-work-technology from 2019 to 2024. He completed his practical semester at the Evangelische Schule Berlin Zentrum. In his master's thesis, he investigated the potential and challenges of maker education for technical and computer science education, a qualitative analysis from the perspective of pedagogical actors in MakerSpaces. The defence of his Master's thesis is still pending.

Since 2022, he initially worked as a research assistant in the BIRD project and began his work as a research assistant in the same project on 1 March 2024.
