Curriculum Vitae

Florian Nowotny began his teacher training in 2012 for the subjects of life design-ethics-religious studies and computer science. In the course of his master's thesis, he discovered new didactic possibilities through the advancing virtual reality technology and developed his first own application with a virtual mosque exploration for LER lessons.
Since October 2019, Florian Nowotny has been employed as a research assistant at the University of Potsdam. In the research project "Research | Learning - Digital (FoLD)", he worked on micro-applications for the development of intercultural competencies as well as possible uses of virtual reality in the context of learner-centered educational offerings. Currently, Florian Nowotny supports student teachers in the interdisciplinary project "VReiraum" as a representative of computer science in the implementation of their first own VR/AR teaching-learning settings.
