PROJECT LAUNCH ARIADNE

The Chair is a project partner in the Korpernikus research project Ariadne, which started officially in the beginning of July.

In the context of this project, the chair is concerned with the macroeconomic modelling of energy system transformation and the analysis of fiscal policy options for its design.

In particular, the focus is on alternative options for implementing CO2 prices and their respective distributional effects and consequences for short- and medium-term macroeconomic dynamics.

"With the Ariadne project, a network of leading research institutions is now starting work on an unprecedentedly comprehensive research process to shape the energy system transformation. The aim of the three-year project is to better understand the impact of various policy instruments in order to develop socially sustainable energy system transformation strategies. From the very beginning, political decision-makers, business representatives and citizens will be involved in a large-scale dialogue process.
