Andra Volintiru has worked as a research associate and PhD student at the Chair of Public Sector, Finance and Social Policy under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Rainald Borck since October 2023. They hold a Bachelor's degree in Economics (B.Sc.) and a Master's degree in Economics and Politics (M.Sc.) from the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg. Andra Volintiru wrote their master's thesis on the topic: "Political ideology and greenhouse gas emissions: Subnational evidence from Brazil." During their studies, Andra Volintiru worked as an assistant to the Erasmus coordinator at the Department of Economics at the University of Freiburg. Their main research interests are environmental economics, political economy and international economic policy.
