I am a statistician with a special interest in ecological applications. At Bielefeld University, I first obtained my Master’s degree (MSc) in Statistical Science, and subsequently did my PhD in the Statistics and Data Analysis Group. During this time, I gained first experience with the analysis of animal movement data. My PhD thesis focusses on hidden Markov models and their state architectures. As a postdoc I am now working on methods to study fine-scale interactions between individuals.
