Public Viewing for the 2026 World Cup

We’ll be showing the German national football team’s three matches live in Griebnitzsee: indoors on the big screen and outdoors on monitors – perfect for students and staff. Organised by the Academic Sports Service, the events are being run by students from the University of Potsdam and student council representatives.

When?

14 June 2026, Sunday, kick-off at 7 pm, doors open from 5 pm
20 June 2026, Saturday, kick-off at 10 pm, doors open from 8 pm
25 June 2026, Thursday, kick-off at 10 pm, doors open from 8 pm

Where?

Griebnitzsee Campus, Foyer of Building 6 and inner courtyard
Entry via Building 6

Why should you come along? Because community matters, because this is where campus life meets football fever: cheering together, chatting beyond lectures, culture across disciplinary boundaries. There will also be games, drinks and snacks at student-friendly prices.

Entry is free. No registration is required. Doors open two hours before kick-off. Friends and family are very welcome.
