GreenGaDe Kick-Off Workshop

The official GreenGaDe Kick-Off Workshop will take place on November 2-6, 2021 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.

Partner institutions between Germany, Burkina Faso, Ghana, and Niger  will be collaborating and designing the project they want to commence together.

The workshop will feature keynote speeches by representatives of the Ministry of Environment of Burkina Faso, the President of UJKZ, Directors of INERA, and the Director of WASCAL (West African Science Service Centre on Climate Change and Adapted Land Use) Competence Centre. In addition, our PhD candidates will present their individual dissertation outlines and future project plans to a larger audience. We will also visit the research sites comprising the land uses croplands, forests, and fallow lands in Ouagadougou, where supervisors and senior scientists of the project will demonstrate some of the protocols that students are going to apply in their field sampling during their PhD work.
