Welcome to the "EyeLab"

Welcome to the lecture-free period in summer 2024!

We wish all students a good end to the summer semester and good luck for upcoming exams and internships. As always, we would like to point out that the Eyelab also offers various experiments for study participation during the lecture-free period until the beginning of the winter semester. You can work on the required test subject hours or earn some extra money.

Studies for participation are offered under SONA both as part of bachelor's and master's theses, where the BA and MA students carrying out the theses are particularly dependent on your cooperation, as well as for studies as part of ongoing research projects, here in particular the examination of visual perception and numerical cognition, processing of neutral or very specific stimuli.

The experiments can be viewed at any time under SONA and are constantly updated. So check SONA often! You can also make individual appointments with us by email, eyelabuni-potsdamde or by phone at 0331-977-2155.

Under SONA you can currently find the studies Bico 1 and Eye-tracking study on scene description and visual search. For participation in these studies you can be credited with up to 2 test subject hours or paid 10-15,00€ in compensation.

More study offers will follow!

We look forward to active participation and wish everyone a nice summer.

In cognitive science, as a cluster of psychology at Potsdam University, psychologists, physicists, computer scientists, linguists, mathematicians, and biologists do interdisciplinary research on topics regarding perception, memory, language, emotion and other cognitive processes.

At eyelab, we mainly investigate visual, occulomotor and linguistic processes. For instance reading, shifts of attention and working memory are being explored.

Mathematical and computational models are developed, which allow for the comparison of real data with theoretical predictions.
