Potsdam Science Park Academy for scientists from non-university research institutes: Academic Spin Offs: Stakeholders, Interests, and Legal Issues in the Early Stages
The workshop identifies the stakeholders when it comes to an academic spin-off, describes their interests, and presents the legal instruments that exist to find appropriate solutions and to overcome conflicts of interest in the relationships between academic institution, spin-off, and Tech Transfer offices. Furthermore, the workshop will introduce the legal issues in the early stages of an academic spin-off prior to its incorporation, the best “legal dress” for a spin-off, and the legal issues concerning the participation of the academic institution in the spin-off, the transfer of technology, and investments by external investors.
This workshop is funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the State of Brandenburg.
