The following sites will summarize of the scientific work as well as the teaching at our department and will facilitate the contact to our research team.

The focus of research at the Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology of Nutrition is on the modulation of nutrition related biomarkers in regard with physiological and pathophysiological processes. This concerns the kidney function as well as the influence of inflammation processes, cancer and neurological diseases in humans and animals. Another focus area is nutriproteomics with the aim of identifying target molecules in food and organisms for nutritive and non-nutritive food ingredients.
