Andreas Emter
Andreas Emter has been a Research Associate at the Chair of Business and Economics Education in Vocational Teacher Education at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam since February 2025. Prior to this, he studied Business and Economics Education and Human Resource Development (M.Sc.) at Georg-August University of Göttingen, having completed his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Clausthal University of Technology in 2021. Before entering higher education, he completed vocational training as a Management Assistant in Healthcare and subsequently worked for several years in a radiological practice.
His further professional experience includes positions as a student research assistant at the Chair of Business and Economics Education and Human Resource Development as well as at the Chair of Information Security at Georg-August University of Göttingen, where he worked in the Virtual Reality Lab at the intersection of digital education and immersive learning environments.
His main research interests focus on the design and empirical investigation of digitally supported teaching and learning scenarios, particularly the use of virtual reality in teacher education. In addition, he is concerned with the development and evaluation of didactic concepts aimed at fostering economic competencies, especially in the context of commercial vocational education and training.
