Student Research Assistant

Emil Hillebrand

Emil Hillebrand

Hi, I'm Emil Hillebrand.

I come from Bremen, where I have spent most of my life.
From an early age, I knew I wanted to pursue something technical, so I completed my high school diploma with advanced courses in computer science and English.
Afterwards, I studied computer engineering at the University of Bremen and earned a B.Sc.

During my bachelor's degree, I taught handball and swimming to children and young people, as I had been interested in teaching since high school.

However, I didn’t want to take the risk of having “only” a bachelor's degree in education, because I was concerned that this might limit my career options if I later decided I didn’t want to teach after all.

I am now pursuing a master's degree in vocational school teaching (M.Ed.) while also working.

In my free time, I enjoy running. I also like gardening and reading and watching crime stories.

Anne Röttmann

My name is Anne Roettmann, and since December 2025, I have been working as a student assistant at the Chair of Business and Vocational Education and Training under Prof. Dr. Christin Siegfried at the University of Potsdam. In this role, I contribute to the EVerFit project by supporting research and project-related activities.

After completing my secondary education in summer 2019, I initially completed vocational training as an industrial clerk. Since October 2021, I have been studying at the University of Göttingen, where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Business and Vocational Education and Training in May 2025. Since April 2025, I have been pursuing my Master of Education in the same field. In addition, I am currently undertaking a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration to further develop my disciplinary expertise.

In my Bachelor’s thesis, I examined the use of AI chatbots in vocational education. I am particularly interested in the potential of digital technologies to design and enhance teaching and learning processes. Accordingly, my Master’s thesis will further explore the use of AI chatbots, with a specific focus on higher education.
