Dear All,

an application for a PhD position in the Theoretical Chemistry group of Prof. Peter Saalfrank is invited at the Institute of Chemistry of University of Potsdam, Germany.

"Laser-driven electron dynamics in molecules"

The position has to be filled as soon as possible, for a duration of the appointment of 3 years. It is funded by the "German Research Council" (DFG), at a Salary Scale 13 TV-L, 67%.



The position implies the opportunity for a PhD thesis in Theoretical Chemistry,  on the topic formulated above. The position involves teaching duties to a small extent in order to fulfill the prerequisites for obtaining a PhD at the University of Potsdam.



The successful candidate is expected to hold a master degree or comparable in chemistry or physics or related fields. Experience in programming and / or familiarity with quantum chemical software is a plus.
