Research Data and Research Software Policy with Recommendations

The University of Potsdam's Research Data and Research Software Policy dated June 11, 2025, replaces the previous version dated September 30, 2019. The recommendations for handling research data and research software specify and supplement the policy. Both documents are intended for all members and affiliates of the University of Potsdam who are involved in scientific and research support activities.

Open Science Guidelines of the University of Potsdam

These Open Science Guidelines serve to ensure the coherent visualization, targeted development, and networking of all Open Science areas of action, as well as the exploitation of synergies. They were approved by the Senate of the University of Potsdam on May 10, 2023.

Rules for ensuring good scientific practice at the University of Potsdam

The revised version of the statutes “Self-regulation in science – Rules for ensuring good scientific practice at the University of Potsdam” dated February 16, 2022 implements the  “Code of Conduct - Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Research Practice” of the German Research Foundation (DFG) dated September 2019. Section 4 of the statutes briefly deals with the handling of research data and scientific software.
