Potsdam Postcolonial Studies Collective: Reading and Discussion with Drew Hayden Taylor
On Friday, November 7, the renowned Indigenous writer Drew Hayden Taylor from Turtle Island, Canada, will read from his latest novel Cold at the University of Potsdam. Taking tropes from the murder mystery, police procedural, thriller, and horror genres, the novel is a pageturner that makes the streets of Toronto the setting of Indigenous life and stories, both traditional and contemporary.
Drew Hayden Taylor: Originally from the Curve Lake First Nations, in Central Ontario, Drew has spent the last two decades travelling the world and writing about it from the Aboriginal perspective. An award-winning playwright, author, columnist, film maker and lecturer, he has managed to bridge the gap between cultures by tickling the funny bone.
