Facts and Figures

A glance at the figures shows that the proportion of women at the University of Potsdam is encouraging: with 56% of students and 65% of technical and administrative staff identifying as women, we will achieve positive results in terms of gender equality in 2024. However, this does not mean that the goal has been achieved. A closer look reveals visible gaps between the sexes. In particular, the proportion of women in senior positions remains well below 50%. Nevertheless, the continuous work of recent years is paying off. The data presented here gives an impression of how far our efforts and progress towards gender equality at the University of Potsdam have already taken us.

Note:

Please note that the data shown mainly refers to men and women. This is because the gender options ‘Diverse’ and ‘Not specified’ were only recently introduced and the number of cases in these categories is still too small to be reflected in the statistics. We are working to improve our data collection and enable a more comprehensive representation of the diversity of gender identities.
