Doctoral project

For my PhD project "VARIABILITY AND CONSISTENCY IN L1 AND L2 CATAPHORIC PRONOUN RESOLUTION" I am going to investigate the individual differences in coreference assignment for cataphoric pronouns. The aim of this project is not only to examine to what extent do individual interpretation preferences (joint vs. disjoint reference) in participants' L1 remain consistent across different types of context, but also to test if L1 interpretation preferences carry over to comparable contexts in their L2.
