Intercultural Communication in Interaction (SoSe 2019)

In the Master’s course “Intercultural Communication in Interaction”, Prof. Ulrike Schröder (UFMG) introduced theoretical and methodological tools for the analysis of intercultural communication in interaction and presented the most recent research findings in this field.

IL and CA as methods to study social interaction

In the Master’s/Ph.D. workshop developed by Dr. Taiane Malabarba and  Anna C. Oliveira Mendes, M. A. (UP), “IL and CA as methods to study social interaction”, participants received analytical training and developed a research proposal using naturally-occurring audio- and video-recorded data.

Cultural conceptualizations in English as a lingua franca

In the Master’s/Ph.D. course “Cultural conceptualizations in English as a lingua franca”, Dr. Milene Mendes de Oliveira (UP) discussed the identification of cultural conceptualizations in English as a lingua franca with a focus on Brazilian speakers/users of English.
