Evaluation and Higher Education Didactics

Within the field of activities related to "Continuous Development of Quality in Teaching and Professionalization of Teaching Staff" we regulary evaluate courses, modules, and degree programs. The central evaluation regulations from the legal basis for conducting the evaluation procedure at the University of Potsdam.

Even if many teachers question the benefits of "criticism of lectures and tutorial by students", we want to encourage you to have your teaching regularly evaluated. This gives you the opportunity to get feedback about how students perceive the quality of your teaching. Where are your strenghts? Where is still potential for improvement? We attach considerable importance to enter into a dialog with students about the survey results. The Potsdam Evaluation Portal (PEP) will support you in preparing the evaluation.

Would you prefer a quantitative method for evaluation your teaching? You can document this on the Potsdam Evaluation Portal as well. For further information click here.

A third opportunity to evaluate your teaching/ courses at the HWF is the pilot project How is teaching going? Do you want a "critical friend" to look over your shoulder? - and then swap roles? Then our  call for proposals might be interesting for you. We are looking forward to your participation!
