We cordially invite all students, staff, professors, and interested parties to the next new faculty introduction.

Two new professorships at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Potsdam are strengthening vocational education in the era of digital transformation: Prof. Dr. Christin Siegfried and Prof. Dr. Oliver Bodensiek.

Together, they will speak on the topic: “Digital Transformation in Vocational Education: Learning Spaces, Technologies, and Professionalization in Transition.”

Prof. Dr. Christin Siegfried

Since March 2025, she has been a professor of business education for vocational teacher training. Her research focuses on the potential of new learning technologies, the design of communication processes in learning interactions, and the professional development of teachers in business-related education.

Prof. Oliver Bodensiek

Since April 2024, he has been a professor of information technology in the context of vocational education. His work explores how immersive technologies, georeferenced data, and digital infrastructures are bringing about lasting changes to learning processes and vocational education.
