Graduation Ceremony & Faculty Celebration 2026
On Thursday, May 7, 2026, the annual graduation ceremony for the graduates of the 2025 summer semester and the 2025/26 winter semester took place. The faculty once again welcomed numerous bachelor’s and master’s graduates, PhD recipients, and one habilitated scholar.
The event was opened by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Andrea Liese. This year’s guest speaker was Lydia Malmedie, a PhD graduate of the faculty who currently serves as a National Expert at the European External Action Service in Brussels. Musical accompaniment was provided by the Campus Golm Jazz Choir.
In addition to the ceremonial honors and farewell for the graduates, this year’s Award for Excellence in Teaching was also presented: Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Ulrich Kohler honored Prof. Dr. Lisa Bruttel for her courses “Microeconomics I” and “Microeconomics II.” In addition, the faculty’s student councils honored particularly dedicated members.
The evening concluded with music, food, and drinks in a festive atmosphere in the courtyard.
