Short Description

Digitalisierung is especially essential for German companies. The main focus of the research project lies on German medium-sized enterprises. Their understanding of digital value-added processes as well as the digital potential of their organization will be examined in this research project and within the research project it will be analyzed if they are capable to identify which excisting processes should be digitized. In order to be able to identify the current situation in the organizations and to derive the necessary measures within the process, a digital maturity model will be developed. It will primarely answer the  following research questions:

  • What ist the current digital degree of maturity of a specific organization and
  • To what degree does the digital degree of maturity of a organization develop/alter/change  over a certain time interval?
  • What measures should be taken (f.e.) in order to enable an organization to reach a higher digital degree of maturity?
