Potsdam Graduate School: Advice for Doctoral Candidates, Postdocs Researchers and Qualifying Professors.

What we stand for

We are convinced that PhD candidates and postdocs will play an outstanding role in overcoming the various challenges of our time. This will require them as scientists and academics to be prepared in the best ways possible, expanding and deepening their skills not only in research, but also in networking.

We in the Potsdam Graduate School team work towards achieving this goal and consciously focus on people and their individual needs, regardless of ethnic origin, gender, disability, religion or world view, age or sexual orientation and other dimensions.
Following the motto Support. Train. Connect., we support PhD candidates, postdocs and qualifying professors by providing financial support, group-specific training, advice and networking opportunities for careers within and outside of academia. We strive to provide a variety of high-quality, attractive offerings of a professional and interdisciplinary nature.

As a skills and advising center, we build bridges between the various areas of expertise. We are committed to establishing optimal conditions and standards for support at the University of Potsdam. We assist in the acquisition of third-party funds for researchers’ qualification and use our own acquired project funds to develop our services further.

Our aim is to empower researchers to pursue excellent science, venture into new areas and explore diverse career opportunities.
