International members of the university often face specific questions and challenges. These include residence permits, cultural differences and discrimination. This page provides information, advice and support to help you settle in and get involved.

The International Office offers counselling for students. You can choose one person from a large number of consultants. Please send your inquiry by email to the appropriate contact person at the International Office or find out about office hours on the respective websites. We kindly ask you to direct your request to only one of the persons listed below. This will help us reduce the processing time.

The Welcome Center Potsdam is the central advisory and service point for international mobile researchers at the University of Potsdam and for members of GFZ, PIK, AWI, AIP and HPI.

We support you and your hosts in planning and implementing your stay in Potsdam/ Berlin and offer comprehensive information, advice and support before you come to Germany, during your stay here and before your departure.
