Appointment negotiations

After receiving the offer to be appointed as professor, please contact the appointment management team and, if interested, arrange a meeting for the appointment negotiations.

These usually consist of two parts, the negotiation of the staffing resources and material equipment of the professorship and the negotiation of the personal remuneration. In the case of joint appointments according to the Julich model, any staff and equipment is provided by the non-university research institution; only the personal remuneration is negotiated with the University of Potsdam as the basis for the retirement pension.

In preparation of the negotiations, the appointment management team will provide you with the necessary information and forms.
