Visit from the Secretary of State from the "Ministerium für Arbeit, Soziales, Gesundheit, Frauen und Familie" of the State Brandenburg

On 29 November 2016, the Secretary of State from the "Ministerium für Arbeit, Soziales, Gesundheit, Frauen und Familie" of the State Brandenburg - Almuth Hartwig-Tiedt - visited WIPCAD. She has been initially made aware of our research through press reports and was highly interested to know more about our work.

After a general introduction to our Group by Prof. Werner Jann, several doctoral fellows of the Group presented their projects. Among others, the role of knowledge in public administrations was addressed as well as the overall question "Does organization matter? And how does it influence state reforms?" The fellows gave an insight in their research on cooperation and coordination of policies on different political levels and regarding diverseactors.

Finally, they discussed about the practical relevance and the transfer of research results. Mrs. Hartwig-Tiedt was open to continue this fruitful discussion and exchange in the future, also with her colleagues.
