Peter Eckersleyis a Research Associate at Newcastle University Business School, with interests in comparative public policy, local governance, intergovernmental relations and sustainability. As part of his role he is responsible for producing research articles and case studies to enhance student learning that focus on how organisations seek to incorporate sustainability into strategy development. He is also responsible for co-ordinating and writing funding applications for research projects and work within the university's centre for Knowledge, Innovation, Technology and Enterprise (KITE). He has published in various political science, public administration and accountancy journals on issues of local government, policy-making and accountability, and also produced a range of practical guides and reports for public sector staff whilst at CIPFA.
