My name is Sukanya Bhowmik and I am excited to represent the Chair of Middleware, Operating Systems, and Computer Networks from the winter semester of 2023.
My research interests include  high performance communication middleware, stream/complex event processing, in-network event processing, and software-defined networking with a focus on scalability, line-rate performance, resource efficiency, and adaptability aspects. I believe in an inter-disciplinary approach to research and look forward to collaborations across research groups and disciplines, both within and beyond the department of computer science.
I am also excited to offer the course on 'Grundlagen Betriebssysteme und Rechnernetze' in the winter semester of 2023. This will be accompanied by a seminar on 'Real-time Analytics on Big Data'. Moreover, I plan to offer further courses, theses, and research projects for students interested in the areas of middleware, IoT, big data, and approximate computing.
