Prof. em. Michael Gössel honored with the title IFI Fellow

The Institute for Computer Science appoints Prof. em. Michael Gössel as an IFI Fellow for his many years of service to technical informatics.

From 1994 to 2007, Prof. em. Goessel held the chair for computer engineering at the University of Potsdam. Since then he has been active in the working group Error Tolerant Computing in research and teaching for more than 16 years. In his scientific work, he has maintained long-term partnerships with the Leibniz Institute for Innovative Microelectronics (IHP) in Frankfurt/Oder and Infineon Technologies in Neubiberg near Munich. The institute owes the founding of the Joint Lab "Wireless and Embedded System Design" to this cooperation. The institute wishes Prof. em. Goessel continued success in his research projects and thanks him for his commitment to technical computer science at the institute.
