Enrolling to study

Enrollment via Portal Puls between 15 Aug – 15 Sept. General requirements can be found here. (Note: Pre-registering on Puls is already possible from 1 June onwards).

Plan with ample time and mind deadlines for obtaining the following documents:

  1. (Recognized) proof of a higher education entrance qualification
Admission to the Bachelor’s program requires proof of a higher education entrance qualification. Further information on the different types of higher education entrance qualifications can be found here
Students with foreign university entrance qualifications must obtain recognition that they are allowed to study in the federal state of Brandenburg before enrollment. Plan with ample time for the recognition process (recognition via uniassist e.V. recommended, might take up to six weeks). More information here

  2. English language proficiency
Prospective students must also demonstrate their English language proficiency by passing the institute’s aptitude test OR by submitting a recognized alternative proof of English language proficiency upon enrollment OR by applying for an equivalency certificate at an early stage. (German language skills are NOT required).

Please consult the FAQs about the English Entrance Test which specify “Equivalent Alternative Proofs of Language Competence”, “Application for Equivalence Certificate Based on Abitur Certificate” and “Application for Equivalence Certificate Based on English Language Proficiency with English as First Language and Study Abroad in a Country with English as Official Language“.

Proof of having passed the aptitude test or an equivalent examination is valid for the application period in the year the examination was taken and in the following year. Please note that all documents must be uploaded online during enrollment.
