Prof. Anja Linstädter reports on the different approaches to researching tipping points in the NamTip project. E.g. ecosystem processes are investigated in a field experiment where areas are to be pushed to a tipping point by experimental drought and grazing. Despite the great relevance of the research, the project and the research initiative around tipping points face major challenges.
