With Umfragen.UP, researchers and students can use the SoSci Survey software free of charge and without advertising. Umfragen.UP is intended for research projects, research studies and for use in the context of studies. Only non-commercial surveys are allowed (see below).
The installation runs on local servers at ZIM. No data is transferred to third parties. Since Umfragen.UP is not (yet) connected to the central user directory LDAP, you must first register and create a user account.
User administration also takes place only on local servers in ZIM.

The ZIM does not offer support for questions regarding the content and use of Umfragen.UP. Use the documentation provided on SoSci's website and contact SoSci's support if necessary: https://support.soscisurvey.de/.

What do you need to know?
- Umfragen.UP may only be used for non-commercial surveys. This means that the respective survey is neither commissioned by nor in cooperation or coordination with a profit-oriented company.
- If personal data of the participants is to be processed in the context of the planned surveys, the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO) must be observed. In particular, corresponding declarations of consent must be obtained and information on data protection related to the respective study/survey must be provided in accordance with the requirements of Art. 13 of the GDPR. The implementers of the respective survey are responsible for the implementation and not the ZIM. If you have any questions regarding data protection, you can contact the data protection officer of the University of Potsdam (datenschutzuuni-potsdampde).
